For those of you who may not know, Pearland is in the Greater Houston area. There are so many great thrift stores in the Houston and surrounding areas. If you live in or frequent South Houston area Pearland is close by. Many Houstonians enjoy thrifting in the Pearland area. It is much quitter than the city, and it reminds me so much of the small town where I grew up. Thrift/Consignment Stores in Pearland range from inexpensive to moderately priced. In no specific order, here is a list my favorite places to thrift in Pearland, Texas.
1. Goodwill Select
Located at 3269 Broadway Street, Goodwill Select is a place I frequent! Goodwill stores are everywhere, I swear there is one on every corner. Some locations are better than others but this location is one of my favorites. The store is always clean, neat and organized. They carry clothes, home goods and furniture too. Goodwill is among my favorite thrift stores to shop for clothing.
Prices: Honestly, Goodwill clothing prices are typically considered to be a bit pricey for most thrifters. However, they always have a great selection of clothing, and household items/décor. Most Goodwill locations have discount specials daily on certain items in the store.
2. Salvation Army
Located at 3260 Broadway Street, Salvation Army always have tons of merchandise ranging from clothes to furniture. Who does not love Salvation Army? From personal experience, often times you can bargain with staff and get them to come down on the tagged price for furniture. Frequently, they have full living and dining room furniture sets….perfect way to furnish your home on a budget (highly recommended for college students). This store is also very clean and well organized which always makes me happy. Last but not least, Salvation Army is a Christian organization!
Prices: Salvation Army always offers great items for discounted prices especially their furniture. I consider their prices to be fair and very reasonable.
3. Hidden Treasures
Located at 3218 Broadway Street, Hidden Treasures has great furniture and/or home dĂ©cor pieces. You must visit Hidden Treasures if you are in the Pearland area as it is a small town gem. This is a consignment store, they carry like-new items for great prices. Additionally, they helped my husband and I sell a dining table that we could not get rid of on our own. The table sold in about 2 days, and we were picking up our check. They kept a small percentage of the earnings for their services. Staff is always welcoming which is a plus! Also, if you are needing help selling furniture contact Hidden Treasures and ask about consignment services! I love their home decor…it is set up like Rooms To Go.
4. Browsaroun Antiques
Located at 4808 Broadway Street, Browsaroun Antiques is the perfect small town antique store. I love antiquing and this is my go to place when searching for those one of a kind collectables that are aged to perfection. Expect to find anything from furniture to pocket watches, antique lamps and even old cameras in this store. Visiting this store is such an adventure!
Prices: Items are fairly priced, but do expect to pay for those truly timeless pieces as they are worth it. Browsaroun Antiques is more affordable that most antique store but it depends on the item.
5. Forgotten Angels Resale
Located at 7918 Broadway Street, Forgotten Angels is a great resale shop for clothing, furniture and home dĂ©cor. This is a faith based organization, and I love how they incorporate faith into the customer experience. They have a prayer wall at the entry of the store when you can submit your prayer requests. There is also a small cafĂ© inside where you can indulge in a pastry or some coffee. Personally, I’ve noticed that the clothing is less modern and more vintage (unique) which makes my soul happy.
Prices: Prices here are both reasonable and affordable. I’d also like to add that they offer discounts on items as well so be sure to check signage upon entry!
6. Brooke’s Boutique
Located at 8209 Broadway Street, Brooke’s Boutique is just charming. This little boutique is so much fun, and staff always greets you with a loud Texas welcome upon entry. These ladies are so much fun and they specialize in luxury + Designer! Designer! Designer! They also buy items if you are looking to make some extra money on designer items that no longer serve you. If you are not into Designer, no worries….they have a wide variety of inventory for everyone. This consignment store is set up like a boutique which I love. I’d also like to add that its very organized and clean.
Prices: Items are a bit pricey however consistent with the prices of a consignment store. Items are like-new and prices reflect the quality of the item. Quality designer items for a fraction of the retail cost.
