Recently challenged myself to style my thrifted blazers for spring in an effort to save money by wearing what I already own. Not to mention, I’m always in the thrift store getting new things when I haven’t worn the things I already have. Spring is a great time to express yourself with lighter outerwear such as blazers. Blazers are a staple wardrobe piece as they prove to be so chic, stylish and versatile. If you are in the process of creating fun outfits for Sunday brunch, a spring trip or just spring in general you’re in the right place. This spring season has inspired me to create some fun looks with some of my favorite thrifted blazers.
Tips for Styling your Blazers for Spring
Tip #1 – Spirited Colors
Undoubtedly, bold colors can brighten up your mood and your outfit. Search your closet for colors that remind you of spring! Pull out those pastels.
Tip #2 – Neutral Blazers
Do you have a neutral colored blazer in your closet? If so, pair a neutral colored blazer of your choice with a spring inspired separate. The great thing about a neural blazer is the versatility. Pair those neutral blazers with a floral romper, a bright colored tank or 2 piece short/skirt set for a chic look.
Tip #3 – Scrunch those Sleeves
It costs you absolutely nothing to scrunch the sleeves on your blazer to create a fun springtime look. Scrunched sleeves create a light and effortlessly casual feel. This takes your blazer from work to play instantly.
Tip #4 – Show Some Leg
Blazers provide a lot of coverage up top, so don’t be afraid to show some leg. Pair your blazer with shorts and/or a skirt!
Tip #5 – Spring Inspired Footwear
Nothing says spring like a cute sandal. A heeled sandal dresses up a springtime look while a slide flat sandal provides for a more casual look. A great pair of white sneakers is also a great addition to a spring outfit.
How I Styled 2 of my favorite thrifted Blazers for spring
Look 1
In November I thrifted a gorgeous magenta blazer that I planned to wear during the winter. Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to wear it during the winter but it will definitely make an appearance this spring. Paired this magenta blazer with a striped tie up shirt, Old Navy high-waisted jeans and black slide sandals. Both my blazer and tie up top are thrift finds!

Look 2
A few weeks ago, I thrifted this white Eva Mendez blazer that screams springtime. I paired it with some items I already own – a yellow tank, grey shorts and a nude strappy heeled sandal from Ross. I thrifted my blazer, tank and shorts! This look is effortlessly fun yet sexy!
