Yes, most expensive wines are worth the hype. However, there are some really tasty and affordable wines that are accessible to everyone. There’s something for everyone, this haul consists of wines under $5. I frequent Aldi, and I love their wine selection. They offer a variety of wines from red to white and even rosĂ©.
Looking for an affordable new wine? Well, I’ve had the pleasure of trying a few wines from Aldi’s selection. On my most recent trip to Aldi, I purchased 6 wines for under $5 each. Wine does not have to be a luxury item for those on a budget. After a long day of “adulting” a glass of wine is just what we need to wind down and destress. In this post, I will be reviewing all the wines and selecting my favorite from the Aldi wine haul.
Pop the cork & enjoy!

1. Winking Owl Moscato $2.95
750mL – 8%ACL
Tasting Notes: Winking Owl Moscato is a great tasting wine and served best chilled. There is a hint of citrus and peach which adds a hint of light sweetness. The sweetness reminds me of the sweetness that honey might add. It is a sweet Moscato but not too sweet. This is a perfect anytime wine for all the Moscato lovers out there.
2. Winking Owl Sweet Red $2.95

Tasting Notes: The Winking Owl Moscato Sweet Red is delightful. It has a very light, smooth velvety taste. This is a great red wine for people who do not drink often. The berry flavor reminds me of a juice, and makes it really easy to drink. The value is great for cost and taste. The Winking Owl Sweet Red Moscato is recommended for those looking for something simple and tasty.

6. Fancy Flock Red Blend $3.99
750mL – 13%ACL
Tasting Notes: At room temperature this red blend has a very dry, tart & bold flavor. This Fancy Flock Red Blend is great quality as it reminds me of wines that are at a higher price point. If you like your wine more on the tart side, you would appreciate the bold flavoring of this wine. There are bold hints of plum and blackberry. I’d recommend poring up a glass of Red Flock on weekdays after a long day to relax.
